"Avelo 102" thundering down runway 14 full of enthusiasts as Avelo's first roundtrip flight as an airline returns to BUR on it's first day of operations! This is the first mainline US start up airline in 15 years. The BUR-based carrier has a fleet of 3 189-seat 737-800s which it plans to deploy mostly to small and underserved US West Coast airports that only have a few commuter flights to hubs for the most part with ultra low fares. STS is awful for photography lighting wise, but nothing that can't be fixed with a Cessna and some help from ATC! Shout out to STS Tower for being awesome.
