XH170 entered service with 58 Sqd at RAF Wyton in 1960. During its career, she was loaned to Ministry of Aircraft and eventually returned to the RAF joining 39 Sqd at RAF Luqa. On disbandment of 58 Sqd, 39 Sqd returned to RAF Wyton in October 1970. 39 Sqd became the Tactical/Strategic Recce unit for war deployment to the Northern Flank. She now guards the gate outside the main entrance to RAF Wyton after withdrawal from use in November 1976
